O.K. Guys one more week of the,"summer schedule" then we move onto what we will call the "sauce making schedule". The Fall is a time when yes our young ones go back to school and yes our Jets and Giants get serious but more importantly it is a time when we start to make "the sauce" again! You see it's to hot to make it in the summer time but the fall provides us with cooler weather so making this wonderful "stick-to your-ribs" kind of meal just makes sense!! Not only that the smells as I'm cooking it take me back to when I was a kid and my mom used to make it for my brother & sisters so I hope as my son gets older ,(and we don't ha!) he'll have similar memories of me making "the sauce"!!! And as if this isn't enough reason to be excited making "the sauce" tends to fill my house not only with great smells and memories, but with people we love cause they come from near & far to get a meatball and slam it on a piece of Iltalian bread, sprinkle some cheese on it and tell me why they're sauce is better,(Rich)!!! LOL!! Looking forward to it!!!
To the Schedule we go:
Tuesday August 31st The open mic kicks butt yet another week at Jack Halyards in Oyster Bay! I'll start at 8 the open mic will start at 9! (516) 922-2999
Wednesday September 1st The final appearance in Bayville at The Pine Island Grill at The Crescent Club!! Last week they cancelled me due to weather and that sucked!!! But this week it's supposed to be beautiful so the sunset I'm sure will kick butt and I may even play there in September weather permitting. It's 6-10 and digits are (516) 628-3000
Thursday September 2nd Bistro Citron in Roslyn 7:30-10:30 always tasty, always fun!! (516) 403-4400
Friday September 3rd Ladies & Gentlemen it's Cool Fish in Syosset!! Place where Curtis Martin and family and Steve Via and family has been spotted!! 7:30-11:30 and the number is (516) 921-3250
Saturday September 4th Privatefrickin parties
Sunday September 5th the final performance at The Schooner Inn in Ocean Bay Park on Fire Island!!! The Mike Dorio Trio will be tearing it up for the last time this summer 5-9 and the number is (631) 583-8498. I have really enjoyed this trio this summer!! C'mon down and give us a big push into "sauce making time"
